I’m Justina Mitzen, I am happily married with 5 children, and work in nuclear medicine. Exercise and getting sweaty in general was never really my thing, but I wanted to get more active and convinced myself to try Crossfit. I started out coming twice a week, and kept adding days until I was coming almost every day. Two years ago I would have never imagined I would have been able to accomplish what I have. I feel stronger and healthier than ever. When the opportunity to coach was offered to me, I was excited and nervous at the same time. I completed the Crossfit Level 1 trainer course in August 2015. I love walking into the box and finding out what today’s workout will be. I always try to challenge myself to achieve a goal, whether it’s doing more reps than last time, adding five pounds to the bar, or going a little out of my comfort zone. My favorite exercises are back extensions, pushups and anything with a weighted bar. I hate running but a short sprint with a weighted ball thrown in there and I’m in. My favorite workout it is the 12 days of Christmas. Crossfit is not easy but there is no better feeling when you are finished your workout and you see what you just accomplished.
